Clinicians face significant time constraints due to extensive documentation and administrative work, often leading to fatigue and reduced patient interaction. Traditional documentation methods also disrupt workflow efficiency and hinder the clinician-patient connection.

As a designer, my goal was to create an intuitive, non-intrusive interface for AMI’s AI-powered transcription tool, enabling clinicians to capture clinical notes effortlessly during patient interactions. Focusing on usability, I designed a streamlined workflow that minimizes screen clutter and integrates seamlessly with EHR systems. Emphasis was placed on maintaining the clinician-patient connection by allowing clinicians to engage naturally while documentation happens in the background.
AMI vision was to streamline clinical documentation through real-time AI-driven transcription that integrates with existing EHR systems. My role was to design an interface that felt natural for clinicians, enhancing usability without interrupting patient interactions.
I focused on a clean, intuitive layout that allows clinicians to track notes in real-time while maintaining eye contact with patients. The design prioritized a clutter-free experience, ensuring easy access to features like customizable templates and secure sharing, ultimately improving workflow efficiency and clinician-patient connection. We implemented features like customizable templates for different medical fields, easy access to secure data-sharing options, and responsive layout adjustments. Each design decision was aimed at reducing cognitive load, supporting natural clinician-patient engagement, and making documentation smoother. The result was a user-centered product that empowers clinicians, enhances productivity, and strengthens patient care.
